Ingredients:
- 4 ripe plantains
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 slices of cheese
- Lettuce leaves
- Tomato slices
- Mayonnaise
- Ketchup
Instructions:
Peel the plantains and cut them into thick slices
Heat oil in a pan and fry the plantain slices until they are golden brown
Remove and flatten them with a plate or spatula
In a separate pan, cook the ground beef with chopped onion and minced garlic until browned
Season with cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper
Place a slice of cheese on each plantain patty and melt it under the broiler or in a hot oven
Assemble the Patacon Burger by placing a plantain patty with melted cheese on the bottom, add lettuce leaves, tomato slices, and a spoonful of mayonnaise and ketchup
Top with another plantain patty
Serve hot and enjoy your Patacon Burger!
